John has been investing in early-stage fund managers for the past decade and as a long-time macro investor has consistently focused on sectors and investments where technology can be particularly disruptive and accelerate change. John founded Passport Capital in 2000 and several members of the Nimble Team join him from that predecessor. John holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Duke University.
Julie has been a legal advisor to leading institutional managers on transactions, formations, SPVs, co-investments and JVs since 2007. She joined Passport in 2011 and serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Nimble. Julie started her legal career at Davis Polk and earned her law degree from Cornell Law School and a BA from Cornell University.
Seth has been a technology investor since 1997, having joined Passport in 2004 as a Portfolio Manager. Prior to Passport, Seth was a VP at Goldman Sachs in technology research. He has decades-long track record spanning both private and public tech cycles. Seth holds an BA from Stanford University.
Murat joined Nimble Partners in 2020 after having worked for its affiliate Passport Capital since 2018. At Nimble, Murat is a member of the investment team, evaluating and managing investment opportunities across a number of tech-enabled industries. With global relationships across a broad investment landscape, he is also deeply involved in the firm's fundraising efforts and serves as a bridge between Europe and Silicon Valley. Prior to Nimble, Murat has held finance, consulting, operations and marketing roles at Global Ports Holding, BNP Paribas Cardif, Alps & Meters and Global Menkul Degerler. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Babson College, with a concentration in entrepreneurship and finance.
